Privacy Policy

How we handle the information connected with your visit, your messages and the tools you use.

Last reviewed: 12 October 2026

Who is responsible

The data controller is Marco Zucca, operating Design Iceberg. This policy covers the Design Iceberg website and its Library. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@designiceberg.com.

Information we process

  • Messages you choose to send: your email address, your name if provided, the message, attachments and the associated email metadata.

  • Technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, browser information, requested resources and diagnostic logs.

  • Website usage statistics provided by Framer, including visits, page views and interactions with links.

You can browse the Library and download templates without creating an account or providing an email address. Please do not send sensitive personal information or identifiable research participant data when suggesting a method.

Why we use information

  • To answer enquiries and evaluate method suggestions. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to messages and maintaining the Library.

  • To deliver the website, prevent misuse and investigate technical problems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure resource.

  • To meet a legal obligation when one applies, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. The relevant legal obligation or legitimate interest is the basis for that processing.

We use aggregate statistics to understand which pages and tools are useful. Framer describes its built-in analytics as anonymous and cookie-free, with no persistent visitor identifier. This is separate from the technical connection information needed to serve the website. We do not use the current site for personalised advertising or automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Hosting, email and other providers

Framer B.V. provides the website platform, hosting and built-in analytics. Site assets, including illustrations and template files, are delivered through Framer’s infrastructure.

Namecheap provides the email service for hello@designiceberg.com. When you email us, the message is handled by your own email provider and the service used for our mailbox.

The current website loads fonts from Google’s font servers. Your browser connects to those servers to retrieve font files, disclosing connection information such as your IP address.

Access to correspondence is limited to the people and service providers who need it for the purposes described here. Information may also be disclosed where a valid legal requirement applies.

International processing

Our service providers operate internationally, so some processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Framer and Namecheap publish data processing terms that describe safeguards for applicable international transfers, including standard contractual clauses. You can contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

How long information is kept

Correspondence is kept for the time needed to handle the enquiry, any related follow-up and a genuine need to retain a record of the exchange. Once that purpose ends, further retention is limited to legal obligations or active legal claims.

Technical logs and provider backups follow the retention arrangements of the relevant hosting or email service. Their timing is not the same as the retention of the correspondence we manage. For a specific request, contact us so we can explain the applicable period or criteria.

Framer describes the identifier used to count daily visitors as changing each day. Aggregate statistics do not allow us to identify an individual visitor.

Search, links and templates

Search and filters run in the page. Filter choices and search terms may appear in the URL, your browser history and any link you share. Avoid entering confidential or personal research data in a search field.

Downloading a PDF or CSV does not require registration. We do not receive the information you enter into a downloaded template merely because you complete or save it on your device. If you email a completed file to us, it becomes part of that correspondence.

External references open other websites, which have their own privacy practices. Clicking a contact link opens your email application; no message is sent until you choose to send it.

Your privacy rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and request data portability where its conditions apply. If a processing activity relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. These rights have conditions and exceptions.

Send requests to hello@designiceberg.com. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your data. GDPR requests are normally answered within one month, subject to the extensions permitted by law.

You can complain to the supervisory authority in the country where you live, work or where an alleged infringement occurred. In Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the website or its data processing changes. The review date at the top identifies the current version. For questions about this notice, write to hello@designiceberg.com.
